I really like the feature - I think it's really cool you can map out your different pic locations. I have lost of vacation pics that would be neat to see mapped out. I didn't really explore any of the other services b/c I really like the Flickr site. I'm going to upload more photos and tag them. I could see ppl using this professionally if they are photography majors or utilize photo software - you can find some really neat pics to reference. It's also a great way to market what you can do and where you've been. I don't really get geocaching - it seems too invasive. I don't need "GPS" for my pics.

Podcasts

I listened to the MPR Podcast. I like reading the news on a daily basis. I chose to review the weekly headlines of in-depth discussions of news events, issues, the arts and more. I tend to keep myself pretty up to date on what's happening on a day to day basis. I don't think I will subscribe to one.

I think Walk Whitman would podcase and call it something like freedom or cultural acceptance, something along those lines. I have no idea if his parents would listen, mind probably wouldn't.

RSS Account

Google Reader constantly checks your favorite news sites and blogs for new content. You can also share it with others. It's a good way to stay up to date on various topics and even access documents for research. I liked Google Reader the best and currently have that as part of my Google account. I also used newpaper websites to check their archives.

Research Project Calc

I like the RPC Calc. over the UofM Calc b/c you could just have the info emailed to your account and get reminder about each step along the way. One thing I did like about the UofM Calc is you had a lot more options about the kind of class the project was for but at the same time most of the categories don't apply to AI students.

I would use the RPC to get reminders email as often as possible to make sure I was staying on track with an assignment. The teacher guide had a lot of helpful features too like proofreading assignments and how to make sure you aren't plagarizing. There was also a lot about learning how your work will be evaluated although this would more than likely vary by teacher.

I think you could even use this in the future for projects at work to help you manage your time and make sure you meet a deadline especially if you have multiple projects to do at once.
