Photosharing with Flickr

Uploaded on October 24, 2009by kaiy
Flickr would be a great way to share your work with others but also a way to save your files online so they don't take up so much space on your harddrive or in case your computer crashes.
I currently use SnapFish as my online photo hosting service. I really like it b/c they don't limit the space you can use, there are editing options available, great ways to organize your photos and the fact that your photos can be entirely private, public or limit to who you want to see them. I had never used Flickr prior to tonight but do like the product. I still think SnapFish is easier to use but that could just be b/c I am more familiar and comfortable with it. You can definitely do a lot more with Flickr. Flickr also has a more professional look to it where as SnapFish has more of a personal look to it - almost like something you would put your vacation and family pics on.
I don't really like having my pics public. I only share them with ppl I want to see them and they can only access them through the link I send them. I wouldn't mind having professional pics being public b/c it's nice to share the work and network through the designs. You could also generate ideas off other ppl. I like to keep my personal pic private though.
